What is SmoothEye®?

SmoothEye® is a new and exciting non-ablative Fotona SMOOTH® treatment aimed at firming the periocular region and reducing the appearance of periorbital wrinkles. SmoothEye® significantly tightens loose, aging skin of the eyelids and periocular region with little to no downtime and maximum patient comfort, making it a highly sought-after non-invasive cosmetic procedure.

After a few treatment sessions, the result is an improvement in the elasticity, overall structure and volume of the skin with a significant reduction in wrinkles.

Fotona's revolutionary non-ablative Fotona SMOOTH® mode treats the skin in a gentle, almost "feather-like" non-ablative manner, without bleeding and with precisely controlled temperature deposition. Optical energy is delivered in a single pulse sequence of sub-second duration that prevents temperature buildup at the surface and provides even heating several hundred micrometers from the tissue.

The Fotona SMOOTH® mode is ideal for firming the skin. Intense and controlled heating of superficial tissues stimulates collagen remodeling and initiates neocollagenesis. The result is an overall improvement in wrinkles, sagging and elasticity of the treated areas around the eyes.

Getting started with SmoothEye®

SmoothEye® training is provided by the Laser and Health Academy as part of a Fotona minimally invasive aesthetic treatment training workshop, under the guidance of experts in medical laser technology. This in-depth workshop, during which participants will participate in live demonstrations and gain an in-depth understanding of laser-tissue interaction, will provide the necessary information on the fundamentals of non-invasive aesthetic treatments and other procedures that can be performed with Fotona laser systems.
