Telangiectasias, what are they?
Telangiectasias are a symptom of blood circulation disorders.
- When the deep veins do not perform their functions well, small vessels closer to the surface of the skin take over. They expand and become more visible.
Telangiectasias are permanent dilations of very small veins with a diameter of between 0.1 and 1 millimeter.
They are located near the surface of the skin and are red, blue or purple in color.
More commonly located on the legs, they can also appear on other areas of the body
- For example on the face, around the nose, cheeks or chin, on the neck or on the lower back. They are more present in women than in men before the age of 50, but after 60 n most people carry telangiectasias equally in women and men.
